Advocacy Workshop - July 2003
The July 14-16th Advocacy Workshop involving delegates from 11 African countries, was held successfully in London and a detailed report of this meeting is available for download [PDF format 124Kb].
The applications for support which have been received from Burkina Faso,
Cameroon, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Mali, Niger, Nigeria, Tanzania, and Zambia
are still under consideration, and the peer review process should be
completed by the end of October. There will be a recommendation from the SCI
Technical Panel to the SCI Advisory Board meeting on October 30th, and the
final selection will be announced shortly afterwards. Meanwhile $25,000 is
now available for each of these countries to apply for if needed for
strengthening base line data or capacity within the Ministries of Health and
Education. |
