SCI, Imperial College London and Rockhopper Productions to prepare
documentaries for BBC World
Imperial
College has been awarded a $5 million grant for “A Ground Breaking
Broadcast and Advocacy Programme to Mobilise Donor Resources and Raise
Awareness of Key Global Health Issues”. The product of this grant will
include eight documentary programmes to be shown on BBC World during the
latter half of 2008. The films will be made in several international
locations, and will cover such topics as Malaria; Maternal Health; Child
survival; Neglected Tropical Diseases, (including one on
schistosomiasis) ; Combined impacts of HIV and TB. |
