Dr Alan Fenwick receives the Donald MacKay Medal at the Annual General Meeting of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene

Alan Fenwick received the Donald MacKay medal from the President of the Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene, Professor Andrew Tomkins. At the Annual General Meeting of the Society held in the Manson Theatre at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine in London on June 17th. Alan then gave a talk entitled “New initiatives against worms in Africa”, in which he discussed the possibility of integrating national control programmes against lymphatic filariasis, schistosomiasis, onchocerciasis, trachoma and intestinal helminths.
